E3JK AC/DC sensor family comprehensive re-designed of Omron
After a comprehensive redesign, AC/DC multi-voltage photoelectric sensors in the popular E3JK family now offers maximum sensing distances up to eight times greater than their predecessors. In addition, the new models all use red light, which greatly simplifies alignment, as the light beam is clearly visible, and they incorporate bright status indicator LEDs that can be easily seen over large distances. Improved E3JK features Other important refinements include large robust sensitivity controls that make adjustment easy, and a convenient light-on/dark-on switch that allows sensor operation to be instantly matched to the requirements of the application. Relay output versions of the new sensors offer universal operation from AC or DC supplies in the range 24 V to 240 V, and are complemented by npn/pnp transistor output types suitable for use with DC supplies in the range 10 V to 30 V. The photoelectric sensors in our new E3JK family are supplied in the versatile and widely used 50 x 50 mm format, and have pre-wired connections with 2 m leads. The family includes through-beam models with sensing ranges up to 40 m, retro-reflective models with ranges up to 7 m, and diffuse-reflective models with ranges up to 2.5 m. Typical applications for E3JK sensors include agricultural and building automation systems where their ability to operate direct from a standard AC mains supply is a key benefit, as well as warehousing and mechanical handling installations where their long maximum sensing distance is a decisive advantage.
